Detention video of both soldiers released
The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) released a video. In which both the captured soldiers are shown. According to the SBU, one soldier was captured by Ukrainian special forces on January 9, while another was detained by paratroopers. South Korea’s National Intelligence Service (NIS) is helping Ukrainian officials negotiate with North Korean troops.
Korean soldier caught with Russian military document
In the video released by the SBU, two people are seen sleeping on a cot in a cell. One is injured in the jaw, with some blood stains visible. While the other prisoner soldier has bandages on both his hands. The SBU said the soldiers could not speak English, Ukrainian or Russian. Officials informed that a soldier was born in 1999. who is working as sniper-reconnaissance officer in 2016. He has injured his jaw. Due to which he cannot speak. He has written his testimony or conversation. So another soldier was caught with a Russian military document with the name of another person registered in Russia, while another had no documents.
Zelensky shared the information on Platform X
President Volodymyr Zelensky also gave this information on social media platform X. He wrote that our troops captured 2 North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region. He has been flown to Kiev due to his injuries. Where they will be treated and talked to. He wrote that this is not an easy task, with the Russian military killing wounded soldiers to destroy evidence after using North Korean military personnel in the war.
