There’s no perfect time to start — or grow — a family and become a parent, but for some celebrity moms, the sweet spot came at or after the age of 40. And the same goes for many childbearing individuals, famous or not. In fact, recent US Census data show that fertility rates have declined for younger women and increased for older women (67 percent, to be exact, for those age 35 to 39 between 1990 and 2019). Despite past beliefs and stigmas, people are having children later in life. If you’re wondering which famous faces have given birth later into adulthood, keep scrolling to see which celebrities have welcomed sweet babies while in their 40s (And in the case of one mom, while 50!)
